One of the most important qualities of an interior designer is the ability to listen to the client and understand their vision. When we first met with this particular client, he described a home that resembled something you would see in Tuscany, a place of comfort and a place to relax with his young children on the weekends.
The architect, Mark Armstrong, AIA, and Jeanne Racioppi Designs worked together to give this client just that. With the use of antique beams, a barrel vaulted ceiling, custom European styled windows, antique chestnut floors, and a hand hewn walnut counter mixed with zinc; we achieved a look that was classic yet comfortable and casual.
